πŸ’ŒβœοΈHandwriting tag πŸ“βœ‰οΈ

Hi guys

How r u all doing today? I’m having a chilled Monday with my Mum and the cheeky monkey that is my brother πŸ΅πŸ’

Today I am going to take part in a Handwriting tag by the amazing A girl called Egypt. U should go and check her wonderfully cool blog. Www.A girlcalledEgypt .WordPress.com

I absolutely love practicing my handwriting skills, got millions of notebooks that I doodle and write away in. I love looking on Pinterest for ideas, thats my main source of inspiration

So for this tag I have to answer the following questions in my own handwriting.  should be easy, here goes!!

Questions

1. What is your name? And your blog name?

2. Blog URL

3. Write: The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog.

4. Favourite quote

5. Favourite song

6. Favourite band/singers

7. Say anything you want

8. Pass it along to a few bloggers
Concentrating hard 😬.

Was getting frustrated earlier as trying different styles and to me weren’t coming out right 😫😫

Viola!! Finished questions

What do u guys think?  How do u practice your handwriting skill or do u think its becoming a lost art with the use of touch screen technology, mobile phones etc. I will also love to hear from anyone who writes “snail mail”  its something I really want to do

So lastly I nominate the following bloggers to do this challenge

Www.ncDavis 2003.wordpress.com

Hope u enjoy this is much as I have. Thanks Egypt 😊

POLYVORE❀️

hi guys! Today I’m going to be talking about this awesome fashion/beauty/home decor/art app that is now my favourite app. I’ve become abit obssessed with it !! πŸ’™β€οΈπŸ’šπŸ’œ

So what is it ??

Its official description is its a community powered social commerce site !!  In plain language it a global style community on a free app that helps you shop and style using the latest fashion trends.

It is a really fun app to use and u can create cool outfits, room decor styling etc.

Some of you might have already been using this for awhile, the app is used by millions of users worldwide so  what I am going to do is a step by step instruction post for those who havent.

Step 1

Download the polyvore app

Step 2

The app

When u go into the app it will look like this:

You can create an account in a number of ways, by facebook, twitter or just a polyvore user account. If u dont want an account then just go onto create a set, will explain what this is in the next few sets.

Step 3

Create your profile

Go into the Me section and write your  profile. This bit of down to you. This is mine

Step 4

What the side bar icons mean.

On the ipad the side bar is on the left hand side, on the smart phone, the bottom.

Trends – current trends on the app. Ie most popular.

For example: If a skater skirt was posted and 5,000 people liked it then according  to what you have been liking it might end up in your recommened Trends.

Feed

Just like facebook or pintrest this is your feed of other sets that people have been posting relating to people you are following or sets/ items u have liked. This enables u discover new people to follow and items to like or buy

Create

So this is the bit where u get to create your own “sets”. So a set means a group of objects u have grouped together for ideas/ fashion statement/ outfits to buy.  Its like a mood board but not just for home decor but for fashion.

So how do u do it

Go into create and u will see add item, menu and publish. Firstly go into add item

U will see thumbnails descriptions eg fashion. Make sure u scroll down to see all the other options, its not just fashion.

I am going to create a fashion set so I clicked into tops. U will then see hundreds of tops to choose from.

So I see a top I like, I tap the picture and an enlarged picture wity drescriptions pops up on the side including where to buy it from. It also says add which I click on and this is then added to my empty screen

You then go on in the same way to add  other items for your set

Be creative, I like to add quotes, all accesories to my sets like watches, iphone cases, make up and hairstyles.
U can also add text and magazine articles. Its fab as it gives u lots of fonts to work with.
Once you think are finish you press publish

You pick which category  u publish your set into. I am choosing beauty

You then name the set.

You can share it on all social media platforms. Pintrest, facebook, instagram and even wordpress!!

Shop

Now what makes this app cooler is that u can shop directly through it. U just click on the item u wish to buy and it transfers you to the online shop. Be careful with this as u may be able to get tje items cheaper elsewhere but if u r ok with the prices there is no doubt its a cool and easy way to shop.

Step 5

The social aspect of this app

With this app users are able to “❀️” your set, follow your account also comment and message. If your aim is to get loads of “followers” then it is recommended you like, comment and follow lots of peoples account.

This is an example of someone I am following , can u see the black outline heart, that is what u click on to show u liked the set.

In your profile page you can keep track of your followers, who u follow, sets, likes etc.

Activity section

This shows u goals u have achieved, basically the activity on your account

Mailbox

Where all your mail is, enables u to reply from there

I hope this gets u excited to use this really cool app or helps u use it better

Bye Ari πŸ’™πŸ’œβ€οΈπŸ’š

β˜€οΈSnazzy Sundayβ˜€οΈ

hiya! Β So for this weeks Snazzy Sunday post I am going to share with you something I made a wee while ago for my Mum. Β I thought I would have my Marshmallow plushies made in time but they weren’t. Prob be finished Tuesday I think, so keep a watch out. Mr and Mrs Marsh are so cute!! Can’t wait to finish and show u. Anyway back to my bags …

My next door neighbour has a business from home making personalised bags with cute girl pictures painted on them amongst other things. I wanted to make one for my Mum and was invited along to her house to learn how to make one. Β I was so lucky and very excited. πŸ˜‹

I already had an idea of what I wanted my bag to look like, with the colour of her hair etc so I first of all drew the picture of it with pencil onto paper and then copied it onto the bag.

I was then shown how to start layering the fabric paints to create shade and definition into the hair etc πŸ’πŸΌ

I used a mixture of matte and metallic paints.

I also used glitter fabric paints to add some extra sparkle and glitter. It’s so gorgeous when it hits the light.

To finish off I wrote Mummy on it and added a ribbon on which I threaded through a heart charm to attach it to the bag.

She was so thrilled and has been using it loads!

Here is some of the bags I own that are of a similar design and inspired me. The cupcake bag was made for me by my neighbour. They are called moomoobags. The smaller one I got from my Aunty Lou and it’s a Clareabella bag. I absolutely love them. πŸŽ€πŸ’•πŸ’œ

Have a great rest of your Sunday

β˜€οΈ Snazzy Sunday β˜€οΈ

hiya bloggers! Today for Snazzy SundayΒ I’m going to show you all of my kawaii drawings. Like a lot of people I absolutely love everything kawaii and I love to draw cute kawaii things too πŸ’œ. All of these drawings I did all by myself and I think you’ll agree that they are very cute!! The pencils I used for the colouring in are these awesome watercolour pencils I got from my local WHSmith. In the comments tell me what your favourite drawing is, I’d love to hear feedback! So here are the Kawaii Drawings!!

So this first picture is a drawing I entered in a comp for a blog called Little Moon Dragon here’s the link for her awesome blog! http://www.LittleMoonDragon.blogspot.com you’ll find more info there, the prize for 1 or 2 winners is their drawing made into a plush.. How you win is bloggers vote for their favourite pic and the pic with the most votes wins, so definitely go and vote! The drawings will be posted on her site next Sunday as the competition has been extended so there is more time if you guys want to enter as well πŸ˜ƒ

After I had sent in my entry I really wanted to do more drawings like the Marsh Family so I grabbed my pencils and pens and drew these 2 cheeky kitties! It took me a wee while to finish but it was totally worth it, they’re so cute!! 🐱🐱

That same night I drew this wee cutie, Angel Bunny didn’t take as much time to do but she’s still super cute!! I actually hadn’t planned to draw another picture but as I was looking through the internet I found a picture of a really adorable bunny similar to this. I couldn’t resist so I started to draw her and before I knew it she was finished! 🐰🐰🐰🐰

As soon as I woke up I knew I wanted to draw another wee kawaii character so I set to work finding something to draw. When I came across this wee guy I had to draw him, so I got my pencil and started to draw. About 15 minutes later I had finished the outline of him so all I had to do was to colour him in. After I had finished I was so happy the way he turned out because I don’t normally draw pandas but after this I think I’ll be drawing them a lot! 🐼🐼🐼

Last but certainly not least is Allie the Alpaca! I know they aren’t actually rainbow but I think it looks so bold and beautiful.this one is the smallest of all of them but I still really enjoyed drawing her and that’s what drawing is all about isn’t it, having fun and creating what ever pops into your head! πŸ˜‹πŸ˜Š

I hope you loved this post and like this if you love all things Kawaii πŸ’œπŸ’™πŸ’œπŸ’™ have a beautiful rest of your day! BYE

⛄️❄️Olaf thumbprint doodles β„️

hiya everyone

Today I am sharing a cute doodle that I did for the awesome blog http://www.meandmyveritas.com. Β Jana was asking for photos from any of her followers that have tried one of her projects. I love thumb doodling and have loads of sets and ink pads so I thought I would try Olaf.

I love Frozen especially Olaf, he’s so funny. His ” In Summer” song was so awesome. To think he wants to be warm and on the beach and not realising that he would melt made me giggle !!

What do you think of my doodle. Β It was so easy to do.

I had lots of practice on my thumb doodle sets I have. You dont really need to have a proper set but it does help as it teaches you how to do it and gives you plenty of ideas. Β The Star Wars book is awesome !!

Hope this has inspired you to maybe try some pictures of your own. Β Have babywipes at the ready !!

Washi Tape!!

hi guys! I’m writing this post at my bbf’s ( best blogger friend ) house. And today I’m going to do a post on WASHI TAPE! If you don’t already know,  washi tape is like masking tape but its pattered and coloured and you can write on it, tear it easily, and it is very cheap and easy to use.

Washi means Japanese paper and has been used in Japan for over 1,000 years and is made from Japanese shrubs  unlike western paper which is made from tree pulp.  Washi tape was created in 2006 by a masking tape company in Japan.  It is known here for the beautiful designs that are printed or painted on it.  Westerners only call it washi tape, In Japan its just known as masking tape.

If you are interested in reading more about how its made, pop over to http://www.tofugu.com (since when has masking tape been this fun? Since Washi tape !  So cool !!  )

So I’m going to show you all the washi tape and ducktape I have and then show you what I’ve done with, where you can get it, how much it is and other stuff like that. Just remember that I live in the UK so won’t be the same as USA or other countries. So Let’s get Started!

So that’s all my ducktape and washi tape I πŸ’•β€οΈ it!!! The wee rolls in the middle I got in a pack of 3 and there were 75p each ( UK money ), super cheap as they were on sale.  Woo hoo. The duck tape was Β£1.50 each from Hobbycraft.

Duck tape and Washi Tape are very different.  As I said above you can write and draw on the Washi tape whereas you cant on the Duck tape. I have tried and it smudges. But I think  the duck tape  is more waterproof and durable and there was definetly  more designs available (in our shop anyway). You can also get it in thicker rolls so you can make bigger items like purses etc. Washi tape would def be too flimsy for that.  I love that we have the two options to choose from.  I used a mixture of the both in the things I made below.

These are the things I’ve made with Washi Tape

I am so excited about this!! My new light switch for my bedroom. Was soooooo easy to do.

Because the tape is sticky but also repositionable, you can lift straight back off if it was squinty.  I then used a craft knife to trim the edges. To finish off I used my favourite glittery nail polish on the actual switch.

I also decorated my favourite nail polish bottles from Justice. I think they look so snazzy !

I am going to have to stop myself from Washi taping everything in sight !  πŸ˜œ

I made the moustache bookmark above and also did a wee heart picture too.

πŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œWashi wish list. I need/I want πŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œ

Paperchase has some totally cute tape, this one above is currently on sale Β£2.25. Steal !!  The one below is from Hobbycraft and is Β£3.50 but they have 3 for 2 sale at the moment

There is loads of video tutorials on you tube on how to make all sorts of things. U can even do your nails with them. Would have to be careful with the craft knife though 😁. Pinterest, other blogs have sooooo many cool ideas   I cant wait to try them all !!

So I’m off to bed now to dream of Washi with my newly covered Blog ideas book beside me.

Hope u enjoyed this post and I have inspired you to join the rest of the world who has gone Washi crazy 😜😜
